Get ready for a slightly different trackguide than you are used to from us.

The circuit of Sochi is only a year used. Where we in earlier episodes lavish sprinkled with anecdotes and film clips from the past, is that now a lot more difficult. That last year was actually no hole happened during the race, of course, there is also something to do with it.

To one and another to make it possible to invest Russia a whopping $ 200 million in the construction of the circuit. The track was designed by Hermann Tilke. Now it is very easy and obvious, to be the best man completely down to lamps of fire, for very inspiring are his creations often do not. That flaring, we do so also.

The Sochi Autodrom last year, was the scene of one of the most boring races of the season. This means that the circuit is simply too easy? Could. The cornering is pretty straight forward and certainly for a semi-street circuit the crash barriers right on the more exciting points to far away. Grindbakken are already a few years on their return in Formula 1 and that you will be on the Russian circuit, therefore, not find. It is actually just a boutbaan. So, that air.

Other info

The circuit is located just outside the olympic village, which last year was used for the winter olympics. The asphalt is smooth and therefore provides less grip than other tracks. Pirelli therefore plays it safe, by merely soft and supersoft tyres to take. Chance of rain during the race weekend, is small, the temperature is expected to be around a degree or two or 20.
