As electromagnetic waves from lightning affect living cells?

At any point in time, in different parts of the world, thundering about 2000 thunderstorms. Energy from the constant lightning strikes resonates in the zone between the earth’s surface and the ionosphere, which is why there is such a thing as the Schumann resonance. It was believed that the electromagnetic fields being generated with very low frequency do not affect living organisms, but scientists from tel Aviv University proved the opposite. Fortunately, the impact these fields have on the organisms a positive impact.

According to lead author of the study Colin price, an atmospheric fields have on living cells protective effects. For example, it is especially noticeable during lack of oxygen.

To prove their hypothesis, the researchers have reconstructed the magnetic field as close as possible to that produced by the Schumann resonances — its frequency ranged from a low of 7.6 to 8 Hz. Exposing the cells of rat heart his influence for 30-40 minutes, the scientists saw that the status of these cells varies considerably.

They noticed a reduction in three important indicators of cell damage:

  • spontaneous contractions;
  • transients with the release of calcium;
  • the release of enzyme creatine kinase.

It is noteworthy that after switching off the field cages returned in original condition.

At the moment the study was conducted only on cells of the rat. The impact of electromagnetic fields on cells of other animals is still unknown, but the probability of a positive impact is very high. In the future this discovery could be a starting point to create new methods of treatment of various cells.

This is the first study that demonstrates the link between Schumann resonance and the state of living cells. It can explain why all living organisms have electrical activity in the same spectral range.
