The world’s most powerful particle accelerator went silent. 3 December 2018 particles made its last run, finished the last round at the Large hadron Collider, after which the scientists switched off the machine for two years for scheduled improvements and updates. Located in the particle physics lab CERN in Geneva, the accelerator pushed each other about 16 million billion protons in 2015, reaching its current energies of 13 trillion electron volts.
Planned enhancements that will be made to the operation of the Collider, before the car will start again in 2021, will allow to increase the energy to 14 trillion electron volts. Actually, this TANK and focused initially.
