Abarth Stola Monotipo: vergeten concept (1998)
A weird thing that his time is actually quite far ahead.

At the motor Show of Turin presented the Stole in 1998, this Abarth Stola Monotipo Concept. The chassis of this particular creation comes from the Fiat Barchetta, a rather handsome convertible, which is also nice sent. Under the hood is a four cylinder with turbo, derived from the Lancia Delta Integrale. For the occasion was the block whipped up to 330 hp.

No humanoid figure, were it not that the Monotipo only 880 kg weighed. In spite of this low weight was the concept car the brake discs of the significantly heavier (and faster) Ferrari F50 fitted. But, in this case we say rather have too much than too little. According to Stola took the device to 100 km/h in 4,9 count and the editors only at 290 km/h.

The entire body is built from composite materials, including carbon fiber. All the transparent panels are made from polycarbonate. The Monotipo was clearly a technical showcase for what concerns the use of materials.

All in all, a special device, which Monotipo Concept. Check from all angles in the gallery. Why the headlights on some of the pictures are completely red, we have unfortunately not been able to identify.
