Opel Astra dieselt of 4,800 miles in one day [record]

Looking for some publicity and break some FIA records, Opel recently with a number of Astra 2.0 CDTI’s 24 hours long time laps. The efforts were not for nothing, because there were 18 records. On average, there are 201 km/h tapped.

On the British test track Millbrook pulled on October 5, two Astra’s British sister Vauxhall (unclear if it the 165 or 195 hp versions concerned), with a total of 12 directors under the leadership of OPC boss Volker Strycek out to a full day to go round in circles. In total, the amount of time that they still stood for only 22 minutes.

Isn’t that very boring? Yes, but it is good PR and that’s it. Now try a to 10 times as large distance, just like Mercedes 30 years ago klaarspeelde?
