Hoppa! Sébastien Loeb wins his first dakar stage

How you talent recognize it? Simple, turn it to examine the object just in a fast car to the start of Dakar.

That Sébastien Loeb and drive that I do, of course, you no longer have to explain. You are indeed not just negenvoudig WRC champion. But still, the first real stage that you’ll drive in Dakar right to win, that’s a megaprestatie. And that is exactly what Loeb in his Peugeot 2008 DKR16 today.

The course was due to the weather -yesterday was the first stage in his whole cancelled– reduced from 510 to 387 km. Large parts of the trail were more shallow rivers, not entirely what you’d expect from a desert-rally. Stephane Peterhansel continued finiste with Peugeot in second place, followed by the Toyota’s of Vasilyev and De Villiers. Only on the fifth place, we come to the first MINI, that of Mikko Hirvonen, to be exact. Bernhard ten Brinke was again the best Dutchman, with a very good tenth place at 4.53 mins of the winner.
