And thanks PHEV drivers.
Last year went to the Netherlands in droves to the electric car. Tesla s, Mitsubishi Outlanders and Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid’s went like hot cakes over the counter. Because we Dutch people love a discount and that was exactly what the treasury has offered us on the o-so-clean elektrobakken. In total last year no less than 22.000 cars with a plug in sold, of which almost half in december.
The tax benefit could by all kinds of subsidies add up to tens of thousands of euros per car. And the big joke is that we have that now with z’n all can go to repay in the form of debt. The tax benefits are according to the Bovag and RAI association is completely wrong. That has the treasury at least 500 million euros cost (surprisingly…).
Originally, the ministry of Economic Affairs is a 125 million euro has been budgeted, but there it went quickly through it. The ministry had not planned that so many cars would have been eligible for the total package of tax benefits. The gray hairs to blame the rapid developments in the technology. Also was it a surprise that we as kortingsgeile Dutch people would like to own a ‘Pefff’ for the door wanted.
Now the benefits in 2014 largely disappeared, we seem suddenly much less like an electric car to buy. The sales are in the first few months fell sharply. CDA-mp Pieter Omtzigt is rightly worried about here is still about sustainability. He fears that the owners still hesitate to use their Plug-in Hybrid in the socket and in the meantime, oil verstokend enjoy all of the benefits. “All the doom scenarios are true. There is a lot of money thrown away without a battle relating to sustainability have made.” According To Omtzigt. (via volkskrant.nl)
