CES 2016: provided modular Lenovo ThinkPad X1

Lenovo has unveiled for CES 2016, which will be held from 6 to 9 January in Las Vegas, the new ThinkPad X1 Tablet. The tablet’s main highlight is its modularity, at least the manufacturer thinks so. To the tablet can connect to optional modules, such as module additional battery module with Pico-projector and HDMI connector, a module with a 3D camera Intel RealSense.

Plug the ThinkPad keyboard with the TrackPoint pointing device enables you to use three different angles. Module with battery Productivity Module extends the Autonomous work of the tablet to 15 hours.

By itself, the tablet is equipped with a 12-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels and running the operating system Windows 10. The hardware was Intel Core up to m7 m7 Intel Core vPro, up to 16 GB of RAM LPDDR3, up to 1 TB SSD. Provided camera of 2 megapixels and 8 megapixels, support for LTE / LTE-A, Wi-Fi (802.11 ac), WiGig, Mini DisplayPort, audio, USB 3.0, USB Type-C, microSD, Nano SIM. Without the extension, the tablet operates autonomously up to 10 hours. Weight is 795 grams, the keyboard is 1100 grams, and dimensions — 291,5×209,5×13 mm.

Sale ThinkPad X1 Tablet in the US will begin in February starting at $899, the Russian market it will appear in spring 2016. The battery module will appear in February at a price of $149, with the projector in may for $279, with Intel RealSense — in may for $149.
