‘Russians killed rebel leader Zahran Aloush’

BEIRUT –

The well-known Syrian rebel leader Zahran Aloush was killed in a raid on his secret headquarters. That have two sources of the rebels on Friday announced. The news was later confirmed by Syrian state media. Also some of his closest collaborators in the attack to the accident.

Aloush was the leader of Jaysh al Islam, one of the most powerful rebel groups in Syria, estimated to have several thousand armed supporters. Jaysh al Islam is particularly active in the suburbs of Damascus. According to the rebellenbronnen would the air attack carried out by Russian planes.
