Google is testing a passwordless login system

Google has begun testing a system authorization which does not require a password. This was reported resource TechCrunch. The system allows you to log in to your Google account by replying to the notification sent to the user’s smart phone. The user need only enter an email address to login to Google.

This approach may solve the problem too simple passwords such as “12345” or “password”. Two-factor authorization, which was intended to enhance security, users are often considered to be too troublesome, as well as the use of difficult to crack the password.




A spokesman for Google confirmed to TechCrunch that the testing is conducted on a small group of invited users. Whether the company is going to expand the testing is not reported.
