BMW Just 4/2 Z21 Concept
Long before there was a Ariel Atom, BMW has the idea of a two-seater lightweight car that only driving pleasure it had to offer.

In 1995, showed the BMW Just 4/2, the winner of an internal design competition at BMW. The design was derived from Robert Powell and his winning design was for 12 months with the help of 100 engineers realized.

The result was a compact car with a dry weight of 660 pounds. There was no windshield mounted but a spoiler that the wind as much as possible about the passengers conducted. The door panels are removable and the only luggage consisted of a small removable bagagevak above the engine compartment.

The Just 4/2 Z21 was intended as the ultimate rijdersauto: a as low as possible weight, exposed to the elements and smooth performance. The engine was borrowed from the motorcycle division of BMW. To be precise, it went to the four-in-line 1.1 block from a BMW K1100 motorcycle. Thanks to this 100 hp strong block would be the Just 4/2, within six seconds to the hundred-should be able to sprint. The top speed was 180 kilometers per hour.

The interior was completely in style spartan run. Two lightweight carbon fiber seats, a leather-covered steering wheel and a simple layout of the dashboard, there had to be one of them. BMW has also designed special clothing to protect you from the elements.

Exactly how much are built is not clear to us, but in any case, more than one and there are at least three different colors to find on the web, namely a blue, a red/orange and a silver variant. Hands like, who had this BMW like in production, want to see?
