Volvo XC90 is Autoblog car of the Year 2015

This is ’em, the new Autoblog car of the year!

In recent weeks, you could again vote via our poll. It was a shortlist of 14 models, of which you are a favorite could indicate. In contrast to other ‘elections’ we will not look into the future and guessing which car there popular will be, or which car there, according to journalistische dino’s is the best. No, the audience chooses the winner. These are the models that this year(!) are true and thus also on the way. The winner? The Volvo XC90.

Now, you might think; a Volvo as Autoblog car of the Year, that is still not with you? But I found it rather aptly. I’m also not a Volvo man, but to the design of the XC90 is simply little to criticize. To me I still no one heard that an ugly car. On the contrary, everyone is very excited. That does not happen often. And then the XC90 is apparently the rightful winner (24% of the 5.700 votes). On the second place finishing Porsche Cayman GT4, the third place is the Mercedes AMG GT.

In 2010, the Saab 9-5 the Autoblog car of the year, five years later, that honor once again to a Swedish brand. Other illustrious predecessors were the Porsche 918 Spyder (2014), Tesla Model S (2013), Ferrari F12berlinetta (2012) and the BMW M5 (2011).
