Found a bug allows you to bypass password lock on boot and get full access to Grub console. With this console hackers can gain access to all stored data on your computer, install spyware, delete files. The vulnerability was discovered by two researchers from the group cyber security Polytechnic University of Valencia.

The researchers specified that the console in Grub vulnerability affects Linux systems from 2009 to the latest versions. Most of the major Linux distributors, including Debian and Ubuntu, have already issued an emergency patch that resolves this bug. It is reported that the Backspace key is pressed 28 times lead to integer overflow memory buffer, and allowed to obtain full access to the system without a password.
