For the sixth time in the history of students of the TU Delft, the World Solar Challenge in Australia their name is written. But the stage turned even further orange.
The World Solar Challenge is traditionally an event where Dutch teams are very strong on betting, and also in excel. Quite funny that the Dutch success all the way to the other side of the world must be achieved, but Down Under you have plenty of space, and the conditions also favourable.
In the Challenger-class, two Dutch teams, Delft and Twente. After the start in Darwin 5 days ago, the teams in a 1-2 be the fastest across the finish line in Adelaide, 3,000 kilometres further, where Delft, the evenment with the Nuna8 for the sixth time in history on his name wrote. The average speed was 90 km/h.
The University of Twente was cleverly second with the Red One, only 8 minutes and 20 seconds of their countrymen. A confrontation with Geert Wilders and a koala a kangaroo during testing threw sand in the machine, but switched the team happy. So to see were the Tukkers thrilled with the 2nd place, and rightly so:
The Eindhoven university of technology, complements the participating Dutch trio, in the Cruiser-class is the Stella Lux from 040 with a day to go handsome second, behind a Japanese varsity.
The result here is about 1 or 2 days, knew the Locals already have a course record to books.
