Today is an important step on the road to large-scale tests with self-propelled cars on the road.
The government has the proposal of minister Schultz van Haegen approved, so it is now possible for the RDW to exemptions to be granted to parties that large-scale tests with autonomous stuff on the road. The netherlands is the first country in Europe where such experiments take place. Small comment: the proposal must still pass the First and Second Room.
By the self-propelled technics is it possible to make the asphalt more efficient to use. As can be autonomous cargo traffic close to the other drive trains, and so less space to take. In any case, the TNO with DAF and the Port of Rotterdam what is possible.
In addition, University of Wageningen and the province of Gelderland to consider how the project hands and feet can get in the so-called Food Valley. All fine, as long as we have that ugly thing from Google here, in any case, not on the road encounter.
