France chooses neutral packs of cigarettes

PARIS –

Cigarettes are soon to be ‘anonymous’ in the shelves in France. The French parliament decided Thursday, the line to enter that cigarettes are only still in a neutral standaardpakje may be sold, without an obvious logo.

The brand name only as plain text. The measure must be smoking among young people fight. Research shows that young people reduce smoking as cigarettes in neutral packaging to be sold. The tobacco industry is strongly opposed to the anonymous suits and spoke of a “historic error”.

Australia introduced the neutral parcels in 2012 and was the first country in the world. The parcels have no clear logo but terrifying images that refer to diseases that you to smoke can get. Now got Australia following the example of Ireland and Great Britain.
