Samsung Display has patented a tablet with flexible, foldable display. The patent application was filed at the world intellectual property organization in April 2018, and issued a patent on October 11.
The patent describes a device that can bend in half in two directions. That is, when folded, the screen can be both inside and outside. The user interface is adjusted and works on a full screen or only half.
Also at a recent presentation laptops in South Korea, Vice President of Samsung’s marketing for the PC announced that the company is developing laptops with flexible, foldable display. Such devices may replace hybrid tablet-class “two-in-one”.
