Humanoid robot Boston Dynamics showed real parkour

The company Boston Dynamics, known for their funny two-legged and four-legged robots, held a new demonstration of the humanoid robot Atlas. Published by the manufacturer of the video you can admire the robot demonstrates “parkour”.

The perky robot runs on the road jumping over a log, and then run up to the top located at different heights of obstacles, spaced apart from each other.

According to the developers, the robot control software uses all of the body including legs, arms and torso for power distribution and power for jumping over a log and the steps, without slowing the pace. The step height is 40 cm Atlas uses digital video to determine its location in space and a neat move, from the visible markers.
