Steam stats: NVIDIA superseded AMD gaming computers

Analytical platform Statista, specialized on the online statistics, has published an interesting study on the preferences of PC gamers. As it turned out, Advanced Micro Devices continues to lose popularity in the gaming market and NVIDIA has almost taken its place.

Among Steam users in July 2018, only 13.9% use PCs with AMD graphics. For comparison, in June 2017, this rate amounted to 20.5%, and in June 2016 25.1 percent. With NVIDIA, the trend is just the opposite — its share increased from 56.7% in 2016 to 63.6% in 2017 and 76.4% in 2018. The share of Intel accounts for only 9.6%, which is natural.

The most popular graphics card among Steam users were GTX 1060. Its share is 12.9 percent. In second place is the GTX 1050 Ti from 9.9%, and the third — GTX 1050 with 6.4%.
