Macedonia is willing to name change

Macedonia is prepared to think about a name change of the country in order to 24-year-long diplomatic row with Greece to end. This was said by the Macedonian prime minister Nikola Gruevski Wednesday against the British newspaper The Guardian.

In 1991, declared the country independent of Yugoslavia and named itself the Republic of Macedonia. This to the anger of many Greeks who feel that their northern neighbours, the name stolen from the homonymous Greek province. Which is located directly south, on the Macedonian-Greek border.
