Apple will release a cheap laptop until the end of 2018. About it told the publication Bloomberg, citing “knowledgeable” sources.
The laptop will have a design similar to the current MacBook Air, but with a thinner frame around the display. The screen will retain a 13-inch diagonal, but the resolution will rise to the level of the Retina. The existing MacBook Air was the only Apple laptop without a Retina display.
According to earlier leaks, the new laptop will be based on the eighth generation of Intel Core processors with the architecture of the Kaby Lake Refresh that came out in the second half of 2017.
The last MacBook Air update happened with the transition to Intel Core i5 and Core i7 fifth generation, released in 2015. Thus, the increase in performance should be significant. Compared with the 12-inch MacBook, the new laptop will also be more productive because it uses standard, not surgeprotection processors.
