Nokia returned to the top ten largest smartphone manufacturers in the world

The analytical company Counterpoint Research released a report on the supply of smartphones in the international market in the second quarter of 2018. The main sensation, perhaps, was the return of the Nokia brand in the top ten largest manufacturers of smartphones.

For now Nokia is a Finnish company HMD Global, founded in 2016. In the last quarter it managed to sell 4.5 million phones and to show the growth of 782% compared to the same period last year. It put the HMD on the tenth place in the international ranking, ahead of allowing Hong Kong’s Tecno, also the first time in the Top-10.

Just over a quarter were sold 365,5 million smartphones, which is 2% less compared to last year. Interestingly, the share of Samsung, Huawei and Apple ranked first to third, accounts for 46% of all smartphones sold in the world.
