Apple will have to delay the release of a new 6.1-inch iPhone with LCD-screen until October. This was reported by analyst Katy Huberty (Katy Huberty) from Morgan Stanley.
According to earlier leaks, the fall Apple will release two OLED models with a diagonal of 5.8 and 6.5 inches, the new iPhone X and X iPhone Plus, as well as a 6.1-inch “budget” LCD model called the iPhone 9. All of them will receive frameless design, the function of recognizing a user’s face Face ID, and a faster processor A12. The older two models are equipped with dual main chambers, and the youngest — the usual single.
According to the analyst, the flagship iPhone X and iPhone X Plus will be released in time, in September, but the mass production of more affordable models of iPhone 9 will be delayed for one month. As a result, the iPhone 9 will be sold only in October 2018. The reason for this delay were difficulties with manufacturing the new system backlight display.
