Kremlin suspends free trade with Kiev on

MOSCOW –

Russian president Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, a law was signed that the vrijhandelsverdrag with the neighboring country of Ukraine at 1 January deferred. On that date the association agreement of Ukraine with the European Union should enter into force. Thus, many barriers to trade are removed and is pursuing more European-Ukrainian cooperation.

In fact the application of the treaty may be delayed. Not all countries of the EU have ratified. In the Netherlands in april, an advisory referendum on closer ties with Kiev.

The treaty came in 2014 and was a major reason for the contention in Ukraine. It was at the beginning of 2014 a president deposed and broke in the Russian-speaking east, a civil war.
