“Interfax” also reports that Roskomnadzor has filed a lawsuit related to the fact that Telegram has not provided encryption keys on request of the FSB. Before that Roskomnadzor gave Telegram a term to convey the FSB encryption keys until 4 April. However, echoing the earlier position of Pavel Durov, Telegram representatives replied that this was impossible and not fit into the framework of the Constitution.

Lawyers Telegram called unfounded filed April 5 the claim of Roskomnadzor with request to block the service in Russia.

Review published head of human rights organisation “Agora” Pavel Chikov:

“The claim of Roskomnadzor on hand there. On the site of Tagansky court of this case yet. Will be sued, it will be understood, the order in which the trial will take place, what grounds and so on. Telegram will prepare a denial of the claim, all documents, as always, will be published.

Position Telegram remains the same — the requirements of the FSB to provide access to private communications of users of unconstitutional, not based on the law, technically and legally unenforceable, hence the requirement also unnecessarily lock”.
