Chinese state Corporation Norinco produces not only military equipment and ammunition. Recently, its engineers completed work on a prototype of the exoskeleton of a new generation which will allow the wearer to effortlessly carry loads weighing up to 45 pounds.
The previous version was created three years ago, but she had significant problems with the hydraulics and batteries. The new prototype does not have such drawbacks and yet its design has become significantly easier and more convenient for the user. Modified hydraulic and pneumatic actuators and lightweight frame of the exoskeleton make it easy to use in any terrain. While dressed in it a person will exert up to five times less effort to transport goods.
The saved weight has allowed more efficient use of battery. Exoskeleton now runs much better, but due to the fact that the development was done by order of the military, exact data not reported. But the new exoskeleton is much better than the previous one, which allowed to pass it to 10 kilometers at an average speed of 4 kilometers per hour.
Exoskeletons can be used in peaceful purposes, adapting them to help disabled people or to equip their warehouses or Assembly shop, providing loaders and pickers more comfortable working conditions.
