Norway relies on electrocapillary

Representatives of governmental Norwegian airport operator Avinor report that in the coming 20 years, the country plans to fully translate a small aircraft, a short internal flight, for electric traction, told the publication AFP the head of Avinor, Dag Falk-Petersen.

Transition plan to implement smoothly: first, the airline will test the aircraft on biofuel and will begin to use hybrid engines. In addition, in 2025 it is planned to launch small commercial domestic flight where you will use electroanalyt, able to carry up to 19 people.

Gradually, the experts will evaluate the pros and cons, will examine the “pitfalls” of a future transition of domestic flights to electric, and then will gradually impose restrictions and prohibitions on use of old aircraft.

The project authors believe that the transition to electric planes will have a positive impact on the environment of Norway, reducing emissions of greenhouse gases. In addition, it will allow to reduce expenses of airlines.

A preliminary date was not chosen randomly — there are now engines that can lift into the air plane by 20-30 people, the emergence of such aircraft experts predict no earlier than 2040? — these are the forecasts in Avinor and oriented.
