Chinese quantum satellite transmitted data to 7600 kilometers

Quantum Chinese satellite was launched into orbit two years ago. Since then, he has helped to conduct a number of experiments, and last summer was even able to transmit information to the three ground stations, located at a distance of one thousand kilometers from each other. The physics again set a record, passing the data via a secure channel between the Austrian city of Graz and the Chinese Singlemom. The distance between the cities is more than 7 thousand kilometers.

The developers explained that the purpose of the experiment is to demonstrate the efficiency of this network. So they are all set up, and after that sent information first at one and then at the other end. This means that in the near future, Chinese experts will be able to design and Intercontinental quantum network and use it to transmit information. This, according to participants from the Austrian side, opens up new possibilities for the development of a full quantum Internet, which is not far off.

Due to the phenomenon of quantum entanglement such data it is impossible to hack, so the probability of burglary or wiretapping is completely excluded. The developers are confident that quantum technology will be widely used in the future.
