A trade delegation from the European Parliament to Myanmar postponed due to the violence against the muslim Rohingya in the country. “It would be completely the wrong signal to now about trade talk”, says D66, Member of the european parliament Marietje Schaake.
That too is Hans van Baalen (VVD), that next week the delegation would travel. According to him, it is better that the committee on Foreign Affairs to Myanmar, “with a clear message to the regime that human rights violations must stop.”
