She seems like a typical model: scouted at the age of 13 and worked hard for a beautiful career. Of course there are some sacrifices, but you also get a lot in return: thousands of followers on social media, and a lot of money. However, that all is not happy, it appears like Jazz (20) her story. She is buried under comments of young lotgenotes, that the recognize.
Error
Then it goes wrong. The agent, one George, is angry. “This is the most normal thing there is. Everyone is doing it.” He calls names. Famous names. “They understand the value of money. And everyone likes to have sex with beautiful men. What is the shame? The society has a double standard, in which women feel ashamed for the sex”, the man tried Jazz Egger to convince.
“Most of the models have this stage passed. All that modellenkantoren be run by hedge fund managers who are waiting on sex,” says the man.
Refusal
Jazz remains at its point. But she gets many comments from friends. “They told me about their experiences. It is sad to know that it is so normal and common. Many girls are not getting enough money for photos. And such offer is easy money.”
The model tells The Telegraph that probably also minors the ’deals’. “I know that. Friends have been told about it. George also asked me never to my age. The interested him is clearly not.”
Crusade
Egger is a crusade started for the abuses in its sector. She is now a veteran with seven years of experience. Earlier, she had become angry about the lack of sleep, the attempts to model super-thin and the compulsion to as much as is possible Instagram followers to get. “There is so much wrong in this industry. I’m going to do everything, what there is also a need to improve. Even if it takes centuries.”
Solid words. But how can you change such a miljoenenindustrie? “People teach,” she says against this newspaper. “I want people to ask critical questions. I hope that models, especially the minors, no more questions get to sleep with rich and famous men. It can be dangerous, especially for youngsters. I respect everyone, but think of models that do not enjoy sex with strangers. It is for money, nothing else. How do you feel after such a night? It can make you break down, I think.”
Industry
Jazz Egger also warns parents, caregivers, and others. “The fashion industry would be a safe world. That seksvragen really do exist, and they must not be normalized.” Yet know also Egger: it is rowing against the current. “It will take some time before these ‘deals’ to stop, but now we have to be careful. Education your youngest sisters, your friends, your children. It is always better to be cautious, than unsafe.”
