Specialists of the state Corporation “Tactical missiles” has begun work on creation of cruise missiles with elements of artificial intelligence — this was during the air show MAKS-2017 the General Director of the Corporation Boris Obnosov.
The elements of artificial intelligence, used in weapons, will soon become commonplace, but before AI technology will be widely implemented, it will take a lot of time.
“In this direction work is carried out, it is a very serious area requiring fundamental research. To date, there have been some successes, but the specifics were still in business a few years”, — quotes the words of Boris Obnosov TASS.
Plans to equip the missiles with artificial intelligence, previously reported by the commander of Russian air force Viktor Bondarev.
These missiles will not only be able to analyze the environment, but without help will be to decide in which direction to move next, whether to change course on what speed to make the maneuver and even what goal to choose.
The first flight of the strategic bomber of new generation planned for 2019, the missiles, apparently, will begin testing later.
