Dozens of people who have a ticket purchased for the Belgian festival Tomorrowland, are not welcome on the dance-event in the Tree. The police said Tuesday at VRT News that the data of approximately 400,000 ticketaankopen been thoroughly screened, after which sure 35 people have been denied.
It is the first time that the Belgian federal police decision festival-goers flock to screening. “So are we sure that there are no people walking around on the festival grounds that we’d rather not have,” said politiewoordvoerder Peter De Waele. He didn’t want to go into detail about the criteria to give people the access to deny. “But it is not that we are refusing people who are known for bike theft.”
The police responded, surprised that criticism. “If something happens, we get the accusation that the police are not doing enough. Now we do, apparently, too much. There must be a clear line,” said De Waele, that the measure in comparison with the places of the “digital concrete blocks.”
