The prestige of the United States in the world since the inauguration of president Donald Trump dropped. But 22 per cent of the 37 countries surveyed people has confidence in his buitenlandpolitiek, according to a poll by the research center Pew Research in Washington. At the end of the term of office of Trumps predecessor, Barack Obama was still 64 percent.
Only 16 percent supports the plans of Trump for the construction of a wall on the border with Mexico. In that country and other countries in Latin America and Europe, the resistor is large.
For the study was between 16 February and 8 may in 37 countries outside the U.S. to more than 40,000 people asked to give their opinion about Trump.
