Most doctors aggressively treated

Almost four in ten Belgian doctors have in recent years become a victim of aggression and violence by patients. Viewed over their entire career at nearly 85 percent. Female and young physicians are relatively more often the target.

Research of the Free University of Brussels has shown. In most cases, the verbal and psychological violence, but also physical violence (over 14 percent) and sexual violence (almost 10 percent) came on a regular basis.
