NASA takes a look in the future.
The American ruimteorganisatie NASA unveiled this week a futuristic Mars Rover concept for their ‘Summer of Mars’ promotional campaigns. The colossus looks like it’s straight out of a science fiction movie is picked. Unlike the other Robbers, who are built for unmanned trips to Mars, this vehicle four passenger seats and a high-tech mobile laboratory. The two ton car can themselves also split, so that the laboratory is left behind and the vehicle exploration.
The vehicle is designed by Parker Brothers Concepts. Who are in the United States very well-known due to the building of all kinds of cars for films such as the Tron Bike from the sci-fi film “Tron: Legacy” and the Batmobiel from ‘The Dark Knight’. The concept of Mars Rover is fully functional and is powered by solar panels and a 700-volt battery. The model is extra light, because there work is with aluminium and carbon-fiber. This allows the vehicle a top speed retrieve around 100 kilometers per hour.
Unfortunately, the vehicle is not built for a real space trip to the red planet. The goal was to get young people to inspire and show what NASA’s plans and developments within the Mars missions. Although this of course is a pity, lets see what happens in the future possibly on Mars goes around. Maybe not exactly in this form, but certain elements will definitely be back.
