The specialists of “Yandex” has developed a neural network that is able to compose music in the style of famous composers of the past. The program analyzes the music, and then based on them comes up with their own compositions.
Composer Maria Chernova told RIA “news” that I met with Andrei Sebrant, who directs the offices of Yandex marketing Department and services, with whom they discussed the concept of the opening of the regular conference YaC with live music and technology based on the ideas of Alexander Scriabin, which this year marks 145 years. Thus was born the idea to create a musical neural network.
“To instill good taste” of the neural network, the developers of “fed” her more than 600 works of various composers. Thanks to such musical training, the program was able to write my own piece that was presented at the annual conference of “Yandex”. The program was accompanied by the musicians of the chamber orchestra.
