LG Electronics is going to start releasing smartphones with OLED displays in the second half of 2017. This was reported by the Korean edition of the Korea Herald citing industry sources.

According to sources, the first such smartphone will be phablet LG V30, preparing to debut in September, and the next flagship codenamed LG G7 will follow next year.
It is noted that most of the OLED displays made by LG Display factory, Gumi E5 in the second half of the year will be used in smartphones from LG Electronics, ranging from LG V30. A small quantity will put Chinese manufacturers, hoping to “catch up and overtake” Samsung with Apple. The production of these panels will start in July.
Note that its first smartphone with an OLED display of LG released in 2013, it was a failure curved banana shaped G Flex. Now smartphones with curved edge OLED screens have started to demand.
