Italy has Monday four refurbished patrol boats donated to Libya. That must be the North African country of better people smugglers to fight and the home waters to guard, said the Italian minister Marco Minniti (Home Affairs), the transfer of the vessels.
Minniti promised “in the coming weeks” for six patrol boats to be transferred to the United Nations-recognized government in Tripoli. About ninety crew members are trained by the European Union.
