Gone Irish beach after 33 years back

ACHILL ISLAND –

A beach that is 33 years ago of a remote island along the west coast of Ireland by storms, was swept away, is suddenly back after the sea thousands of tons of sand on the rocky coast and deposited.

The 300-meter-long beach near the village of Dooagh on Achill Island, disappeared in 1984 when storms the sand wegsloegen, leaving only a series of rocks remained. But by the high spring tides of the past month has the Atlantic Ocean to the delight of the locals, the sand is brought back.
