Last spring, two employees of SpaceX, who founded the company, founded a startup Vector Space Systems, in which decided to develop a small commercial rockets. A year after the Foundation of Vector Space Systems reported the successful test run of a small five-ton rocket Vector R, intended for output of small satellites and meteorological probes into orbit.
The cost of launching small spacecraft on a small five-ton rocket will cost customers significantly less, and stand in the queue also will not have — the rocket-a small car takes much less time in comparison with the huge booster.
The rocket Vector R will be able to put into orbit a satellite weighing up to 60 pounds, but in Vector Space Systems and plan to make a bigger rocket — Vector H calculated at 125 pounds. The cost of launching such missiles will range from a half to three million dollars, all will depend on the load.
Light missiles can be very useful in the future, so over their creation employs and several other companies. The Japanese are not far behind, but the recent launch of their mini-missiles failed — she had lost communication with mission control center and was flooded at sea.
