Bloomberg reported that Apple has opened in the past year, a secret laboratory in Northern Taiwan. The purpose of this laboratory was the development of thinner, light and bright displays for future generations of Apple devices.
It is reported that the engineers are working on more advanced versions of LCD displays for iPhone, iPad and Mac, in addition, Apple is likely to move to OLED technology, which is thinner and does not require a backlight.
As we mentioned earlier, according to rumors Apple is planning to switch to OLED displays for smartphones iPhone in 2018. Apparently, the main suppliers of OLED displays for future iPhone will be LG Display and Samsung Electronics.
