Volkswagennieuws must at present be almost be associated with dieselprutsgate, but in this specific case is that difficult. VW calls up 91.867 cars in connection with malfunction that may lead to problems in the engine and braking power.

It is, as yet, only American cars. More specifically: the 2015-2016 cars of the following types are affected: Beetle, Golf, Passat, and Jetta, with 1.8 or 2.0 petrol engine. As a result, we keep in mind that in a later stage also European and foreign cars back to the dealer.

What exactly is causing the problems is not yet completely known, and Volkswagen has no idea of how one and the other one needs to be repaired. However, it is clear that it has to do with the camshaft, resulting in possible brake force is lost.

UPDATE: to clarify. The camshaft drives the vacuum pump of the brake servo. Due to problems with detachment of the cams would be the brake and transmission problems may occur.
