McLaren is 25 langstaarten make 40% of the body panels constructed from carbon fiber. They get the quirky name‘, MSO Carbon Series LT’.

It is a well known recipe in sports car land. Do you have a model that some extra attention or would you like something special on the market, than a load of carbon baking in an industrial oven. Sprinkle the carbon then about the car you want to pimp. Create if necessary a few body panels of the stuff so that people you take it seriously and you will see that customers stand in line to get your product on to buy food.

McLaren has this trick already at least two times, shown earlier, and thought apparently that it is still a time would work. This time they have at McLaren Special Operations, the 675 LT Spider addressed.

High-gloss carbon is the magic word in this project, because the biggest difference with the standard 675 LT is the visible shiny carbon. In the standard 675LT Spider include the front bumper, ‘end plates’, the underside of the carriage to the front, side skirts, air tubes on the flank, mudguards rear, rear bumper, diffuser and airbrake, all of carbon, but in the ‘carbon series’, these parts are implemented in high-gloss so that the typical carbon structure is clearly visible.

Perhaps more interesting, because presumably gewichtsbesparend, is that in the Carbon Series LT also the roof panel, the A-pillars, the hood, the ‘side blades’, the complete front and rear wing and the fuel valve in carbon are carried out. Other differences compared to the base, are the standard ‘McLaren Track Telemetry pack’, which consists of three built-in cameras that allow you to transactions on the circuit can capture. Tof are louvres above the front wheels, a reference to the GT3 variant of the car.

The powah is not changed, but the 675 horsepower are more than enough for adequate performance: zero to hundred comes in 2.9 seconds, to the two hundred to touch you got to 8.1 seconds.

As said before, there are 25 copies of the MSO Carbon Series, which, incidentally, is additional to be built in addition to the previously announced 500 copies of the 675 LT. Unfortunately for the carbon-lovers, they are all already sold out.
