A mysterious black Mercedes took on the editorial board for parole. The number plate seemed not to exist. What is going on here?
Recently there was a picture uploaded on autojunk of a black Mercedes G-class. In principle, not earth-shattering, because the ‘Gelände‘ is still a popular photo object.
In this case, however, there is something strange going on with the vierwielaandrijver. There is a suspicious mark that is not registered seems to be at the RDW.
What gives? A criminal with a false number plate? Secret agents on the way to the secret storage of nuclear weapons at Volkel air base? Aliens?
Fortunately, in this kind of cases, the autoblog community outcome. Autoblog-user @hdozguzel refers us to a raincoat-shrouded source with more information.
The build-up of the license plate belongs to the so-called sidecode 7 with two figures, a hyfen, three letters, a hyfen and then one digit. The letter combination starting with DM hear, however, is not at home on a normal passenger car. An export registration is not because they are built according to sidecode 8 with one digit, three letters and then two digits.
The other obvious possibility is that it is a vehicle concerns that an authority is used. Traditionally drive old Gelände’s and the Volkswagen Amarok’s, however, with badges around according to sidecode 1, 2 or 3. That are all combinations with two numbers and one time two letters, where the letters respectively front, rear and in the middle. The letter begins with a K, or consists of ‘LM’.
That is not, you might say. But wait. It is clear that defense to new combination’s are asked because the old all used. They have a number of opportunities awarded by the state, sidecode’s 7, 8, and 10. Those badges look like, respectively, 99-DMA-9, DM-999-A and D-999-MA, where ‘A’ can be replaced by a different letter, and the ‘9’ for any other number. For example, this is a picture of an Audi A6 with a plate:
Thus the mystery is solved and you also know that you better not your middle finger can hold up to a car with such number plates as they roll by.
