The fittie is now officially on.
Porsche says that if the Mission-E, a Tesla-transformer is that Tesla’s Model S electric kettle. The draft version of the Mission-E has 600 hp and would of 0-100 kilometers per hour sprint in 3.5 seconds.
In an interview with Automobile gives an engineer who works at the Mission-E project that the electro-pastry from Stuttgart is a real Porsche. Funnier than that is that he Trumpesque way the Tesla Model S afkraakt. According to the Porsche guy is the Tesla Model S with its ‘ludicrous fashion’ is literally ludicrous:
It’ll be something entirely different than any of its competitors, across the board,” a product manager from Porsche adds. “The thing about [Tesla’s] Ludicrous mode is that it’s a facade. Two launches saps the whole battery. That won’t be the case with the Mission E. You’ll be able to run it hard, over and over; the battery will not overheat, the power control module will not overheat…”
Oh snap! But then comes the best part yet:
“…and the seats will not suck.”
Oh. No. Hey. Did. Not.
Big words that Porsche had better be so, otherwise they are the ones which have a slightly stupid look. The omens are, however, well. The fastest productievariant of the Mission-E with two electric motors have come close to the 600 hp that the concept has, and thanks to all-wheel steering and torque-vectoring in the Nürburgring to complete in less than eight minutes. There are, however, probably also less powerful versions with 400 and 500 hp. What is interesting is what Porsche can bring to the area of the range of the car and the charging times. That are still two achilleshielen for electric cars, making a one-way ticket to Amsterdam-Stuttgart, for example, just out of reach.
