Building with the car rental company exploding in Schiedam

In South-Holland was the night in the fire.

By yet unknown cause, there was yesterday night a big fire in a warehouse on the Ringersstraat in Schiedam-Noord. Before the fire there were in the building, a car rental company, a real estate office and a physiotherapy practice. To the shock of everyone in the area, there was around a quarter past one in the morning, suddenly an explosion took place where the facade of the building to the outside was thrown. Unfortunately, two firefighters injured. They are brought to the hospital to be treated for beenletsel. Another brandweermedewerker and a mechanic of a infrabedrijf were slightly wounded but were able to on the spot to be treated.

The above photo comes from the twitter account of Jerome, the night plume of smoke captured from Capelle. The fire brigade had the fire after five hours under control. Although the building here and there is collapsed, according to a spokesperson, a small part of the property saved. Hopefully the injured vuurvechters also back on top.

UPDATE: the property shows the property of V8 Racing International, a team participating in the European GT4.
