BMW 3 vs 5
Audi, we know that the designs did not love each other, but also BMW seems to be increasingly guilty of a good portion of copy-paste between the different modelreeksen. They go to far, or not?

Uniformity. We have a brother dead on here on the Autoblogredactie. Of course, we understand that a car recognisable. Some manufacturers seem only to copy-paste to do. Many a man is of the opinion that a A6 a slightly pulled away from one another A4. And that an A3 sedan a little in each printed A4. And that a A8 a pulled apart A6. And so we can still go on, also with the Q-series. I have ever inquired about done by an Audi designer, who told me that it was a very conscious choice: an Audi should be at the first glance immediately 100% if Audi are recognizable, that is the purpose of the design language. Admittedly: it is recognizable, but it is also a tad boring.

But also BMW finds itself increasingly on the smooth ice of what design is concerned. Let’s be honest: the differences in appearance between a 3 Series and a 5 Series (especially the Touring) are at least, to about the differences between X1 and X3, not to mention. The X4 and X6 are, for some, even just to take apart with a tape measure. How often have you behind a BMW driven to the rear lights looked at and thought “3 Series, no 5 Series, no 7 Series”?

It seems that BMW have a similar kind of way in is smitten with her designs. It is still not as extreme as with the competitor from Ingolstadt, but it goes in that direction. Or do you just not? Let us know in the comments!
