Het onaantastbare Mercedes-duo
At 14:00 was loose on the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. Did Max his sixth kwalificatiestek out?

As good as the Toro Rosso’s qualified was their race pace, unfortunately not. The first stint on the medium tyres, they could still be reasonable, but on the hard tyres after the first stop lost Verstappen and Sainz the connection, and they were o.a. by the Red Bulls surpassed. At the end, took Sainz still advantage of his Medium-band, and put out first, Stumbling over, and then Kvyat, where Sainz of the job was printed.. The result: a ninth place finish and the points for Sainz, while Max as 11th just outside the points ended. Not what we had hoped for.

Rosberg wins

The front was as usual the big Mercedes-show, this time with Rosberg at the front. Teammaatje Hamilton (the eternal optimist, who once again plenty of complaining about talking over the radio in the turns, and all vorstellen of his team as ‘impossible’ wegzette) finally ended just as the second, for the Ferrari of Vettel. Pastor Maldonado, who in 2012 (in a Williams) won in Barcelona, was a good start but lost a piece of wing, and finally had in round 47 specify.

Malheur for Alonso

First person who drops out was Fernando Alonso. Just 4 laps after his first stop, he came in, and complained sure about brake failure. That has his pitcrew conscience, because without that, he something could do schoffelde Fernando his front krikman down. An action which, incidentally, a little later by Romain Grosjean of Lotus was repeated. In both cases it was the pitcrew, fortunately well off, but Alonso could not go on and Romains pitman had painful eggs.
