Nokia returns with smartphones and tablets on Android

Nokia has published the official answer to the question that now worries many in connection with the announcement of the sale of a division of Microsoft dealing with entry-level phones.

As reported by the legendary Finnish company, the Nokia brand is, indeed, returned to the international market of mobile phones and tablets. With new smartphones and tablets will be based on the Android operating system.

We will remind, today Microsoft announced the agreement with FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Foxconn, and Global HMD on the sale of assets associated with entry-level phones. We are talking about ordinary phones, not smartphones.

Simultaneously, Nokia announced that it signed a strategic licensing agreement with HMD relative to the Global intellectual property and brand, in which Global HMD will be able to create phones and tablets of the new generation under the Nokia brand over the next ten years.

HMD Global is a new company located in Finland and founded specifically for independent work on the phones, smartphones and tablets under the Nokia brand. It is planned that the HMD will create a full line of phones, smartphones and tablets under the Nokia brand.
