The company Yandex has launched its own system of weather prediction Meteum (Medium) in all regions of Russia. Recall, November last year, Medium earned in beta mode for 36 Russian regions.
Thus, now across Russia it is possible to learn the local forecast, especially compiled for specific geographic coordinates, up to the house.
Technology called Medium uses machine learning in addition to classical meteorological models and allows to forecast with accuracy up to the area of the city and even at home. For this purpose are utilized weather stations readings and other information sources, clarifying the peculiarities of a particular locality. To improve accuracy, the system 140 thousand times a day compares the resulting forecast with the actual weather.
The forecast is re-created each time the user accesses Yandex.Weather. This takes into account factors such as terrain and proximity to bodies of water. If the prediction was incorrect, you can complain to the developers.
